Courtright Reservoir brings slab climbing, cracks and longer granite routes to the Sierra above Shaver Lake and Fresno. Its domes include Power Dome, Trapper Dome and nearby formations. Check Sierra National Forest access conditions before committing to the high-elevation drive. Overnight trips into the adjacent Dinkey Lakes or John Muir Wilderness require wilderness permits; developed reservoir camping is managed separately.
